USEFUL TIPS FOR SAFE TRANSACTIONS

Please follow these tips for safer ATM transactions:

  • Use your card like cash and regularly check that you haven’t lost it.
  • Memorize your Personal Identification Number (PIN) as soon as you receive it and never keep it with your card.
  • Be very careful during your ATM transactions. Keep a safe distance from the person behind you so no one can see you enter your PIN. Hide the keypad with your hand when entering your PIN to shield it from prying eyes or hidden cameras.
  • Never disclose your PIN to anyone, not even family members. You should better add them as additional cardholders to your account or credit card.
  • Never reveal your PIN to anyone for any reason, not even persons claiming to be law enforcement agents or bank employees. They are most likely trying to get this information from you.
  • Make the transactions yourself. Never ask anyone to help you make the transaction by giving your PIN or card. ATMs have user-friendly menus.
  • Before leaving the ATM make sure you have your card and receipt.
  • If the ATM withholds your card, report it immediately to your bank. You should have the appropriate phone number with you; do not call any phone numbers posted above the ATM (not appearing on the screen)

If your card is lost, stolen, damaged or withheld by the ATM, immediately contact MARFIN DIRECT – Phone Banking at 801-111-8-111 from a fixed line or 210-9304811 from a mobile phone (24 hours a day, 365 days a year).
